Personalized Birthday Cakes in Barcelona

Looking for a custom birthday cake in Barcelona? Every cake is baked and decorated by hand by Rich, our owner and pastry chef. Unlike a supermarket or chain, you're talking directly to the person who bakes it. Tell us who it's for and what you're celebrating, and we'll build it into the flavor, the message and the decoration, so it feels made just for them.

American-Style Layer Cakes in Barcelona

Our birthday cakes are American-style layer cakes, still hard to find in Barcelona: soft, tall layers stacked with buttercream and your choice of filling, finished by hand. 
 

  • Cake: vanilla, chocolate, carrot or red velvet

  • Buttercream: vanilla, chocolate, Oreo "cookies and cream", cream cheese, lemon or strawberry

  • Filling: lemon curd, vanilla pastry cream, dulce de leche, dark or white chocolate ganache, or the coconut and pecan filling of a classic German chocolate cake


For the most American combinations, try red velvet with cream cheese buttercream, or carrot cake with toasted pecans.

How to order

Choose the size that fits your celebration: a small cake for dinner with a few friends, a medium cake for a children's birthday party, or a sheet cake for the office.
 

  • Small round cake: 2 layers, 14 cm, serves 4 to 6

  • Medium round cake: 2 layers, 20 cm, serves 10 to 16

  • Medium round cake: 3 layers, 20 cm, serves 14 to 20

  • Rectangular sheet cake: 2 layers, 20 x 30 cm, serves 20 to 24

  • Cupcakes: 1 dozen
     

Order at least 48 hours ahead, completing payment to start the process. We'll confirm your order in writing. Pick up your cake at our bakery in Gràcia during opening hours, or have it delivered by courier by arranging with us ahead of time. Public holidays may affect availability.

  • How far in advance should I order my cake?
    Please place your order at least 48 hours in advance. For shorter deadlines, please write or call us in advance.
     

  • How much does a personalized cake cost?
    A small 14 cm round cake is 18€, a 2-layer 20 cm round cake 38€, a 3-layer 20 cm round cake or a 20 x 30 cm sheet cake 48€, and a dozen cupcakes 36€. Vanilla, cream cheese and lemon buttercream are included; other buttercreams are 4€, fillings 4€ (German chocolate filling 6€) and a printed edible image 6€. Every option is priced in the order form above.

  • Can I order a gluten-free or vegan cake?
    We currently do not have gluten-free or vegan options for our birthday and celebration cakes.
     

  • Can I add a personalized message to the cake?
    Yes, you can include a short message and/or a name on your cake, limited to 30 characters.
     

  • Can you print a photo or image on my cake?
    Yes. We print images and photos on edible paper with edible ink, so you can add a favorite photo, a logo, or a design to your cake. Write to us before placing your order at info@osogrizzlybcn.com or on WhatsApp at +34 660 85 09 40 with the image and what you have in mind, so we can check it and make sure you get exactly what you want. Please send it in the highest resolution you have.
     

  • Can I combine flavors or fillings that are not listed in the form options?
    Write to us in advance to confirm special frostings or fillings; we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
     

  • What if I need to change or cancel my order?
    Please inform us as soon as possible in case of changes or cancellation, through any of our contact channels.
     

  • What sizes do your cakes come in, and how many people do they serve?
    Small round cake (2 layers, 14 cm): 4 to 6 servings. Medium round cake (2 layers, 20 cm): 10 to 16. Medium round cake (3 layers, 20 cm): 14 to 20. Rectangular sheet cake (2 layers, 20 x 30 cm): 20 to 24. Cupcakes come by the dozen.
     

  • Can I pick up my cake outside of normal business hours?
    Please contact us in advance to request an after-hours collection. We will do our best to find a solution.
     

  • Do you offer home delivery?
    Yes, we deliver within Barcelona by cargo-bike courier. The fee depends on your postcode, from 8€ to 12€, and you can choose your zone in the order form. Pickup at our bakery in Gràcia is always free.
     

  • Do you make American-style cakes like red velvet or carrot cake?
    Yes, all our birthday cakes are American-style layer cakes, including red velvet, carrot cake, chocolate, and vanilla, with fillings like dulce de leche or the coconut filling of a German chocolate cake.
     

  • What allergens do your cakes contain?
    All our cakes contain gluten, egg, and dairy, and may contain traces of nuts and soy. Filling and topping options may include various allergens. The German chocolate filling and the toasted pecan topping contain pecans. Full allergen information is available for every option; just ask when you order.
     

  • Can I order a cake for a party, office event, or larger group?
    Yes. Our 20 x 30 cm sheet cake serves 20 to 24, and for bigger groups we can make several cakes. Write to us with your date and number of guests and we'll suggest the best combination.
